Enyah, is the director and founder of EMDC. She was born and raised in Quebec City in a low-income family with a single mother. She started dancing at the age of 2, self-taught, and refined her skills at the neighbourhood's community centre. Eventually, she joined a dance studio, where she quickly began competing. With a passion for performing and a dream of dancing on the world's biggest stages, Enyah is now versatile in many styles. In 2019, Enyah moved to Ottawa to attend university. Since then, she has established herself as a dancer and choreographer in the city, after working with various artists and production companies. Fast forward a few years later, she founded EMDC to transform and elevate the dance scene in Ottawa, and create a safe space for dancers to grow and express their creativity. She is dedicated to making dance accessible to everyone, regardless of their background.

"Leena" was born in Montréal, raised in Petawawa, and now lives in Ottawa. With 12 years of experience as a gymnast, including 6 years competitively, she has now been dancing in heels for the past 5 years. Leena's specialty is floor work, and her extensive background in gymnastics brings a unique strength and fluidity to her dance style. She is committed to bring excellence and an innovative approach to movement in all her classes.

Stella began dancing at the age of 2 and has been passionate about music and creativity from a young age, often choreographing routines with her sisters to perform for family. She competed in dance competitions from ages 8 to 19 and represented Team Canada at the International Dance Organization (IDO) Commonwealth Cup in South Africa at 15. Stella is trained in various styles, specializing in heels, commercial, jazz, and contemporary. Now at 22, Stella is passionate about mental health, and aims to combine dance with mental wellness in her teaching, creating a safe space for self-expression for all dancers.

Disha, born and raised in India, has been dancing since the age of 13. She is trained in multiple styles, including jazz, heels, commercial dance, and pole dancing. Disha is a passionate dancer who seeks to create a community of dancers in the area to encourage people to explore their capabilities and experience movement and creative expression in a safe learning space. She moved to Ottawa two years ago and is dedicated to fostering a supportive dance community like the one she cherished back home.

Born in Ottawa and raised in Gatineau, Sarah began her dance journey at the age of seven, starting with ballet. By the age of 10, she was already competing, and she joined the professional dance scene by the age of 15. Sarah's motivation comes from the freedom she experiences in expressing herself through movement and dance.

Originally from the GTA, Alyssa moved to Ottawa for school. She began her dance journey at the age of 2, and dancing became an integral part of her identity. Struggling to find suitable classes in Ottawa inspired her to be part of creating more opportunities for dancers of all levels. Alyssa's dedication and passion for dance are evident in her commitment to fostering a vibrant dance community in Ottawa.

​Born and raised in the Ottawa area, Matéo's passion began as a teen through competitive dance. He later danced and choreographed for the University of Ottawa's Dance Club. His love and skills for styles like contemporary and hip-hop grew, solidifying his passion for the art. He aims to challenge both himself and dancers by using various styles and energies in every class. 

Born and raised in Ottawa, Gabi has always been passionate about both dance and teaching. She was self-taught until the age of 13, when she began training more seriously and competing. Gabi is dedicated to learning from others in order to create with greater versatility, bringing a fresh and dynamic approach to her choreography. Her commitment to growth and creativity aligns perfectly with the values of EMDC!
